HRA Adult Protective Services

Lin Saberski is the Deputy Commissioner of the New York City Human Resources Administration’s Adult Protective Services (APS) program. The mission of APS is to keep vulnerable adults safe in the community. Ms. Saberski has been leading APS for close to 14 years. During those years, Ms. Saberski has focused her efforts on streamlining the work process and improving service delivery to clients. Currently, the two primary program goals are: continuing to strengthen the APS response to adult abuse and financial exploitation, and implementing a comprehensive new automated case management system, scheduled for 2013.

Ms. Saberski is a member of the Steering Committee of the New York City Elder Abuse Center, Co-Chair of the New York County Elder Fatality Review Committee, and a 2008 winner of the Sloan Award for excellence in public service. She earned her JD at the University of California Los Angeles Law School and her BA at Stanford University. Prior to joining the Human Resources Administration, Ms. Saberski was an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department.
