You are SO right on. I am floundering around in this world discovering issues …some of which are being addressed by SOME one already…some of which are seemingly hiding in plain sight. I even interviewed people in child care a year ago and thought, hey, they paved the way for addressing this in senior care issues..and here you are saying this same thing. Also HOSPICE has addressed issues of validity of personhood…and honoring the dying…well push this level of respect back ten years. You get deemed “dying soon” and so then are nursed with spiritual intentions? What about the day before??
I see many hopeful strings of possible connection coming together to get elder rights protected…and more. LOVE that volunteer livein situation. I even thought of that as a solution to nursing home volunteers…and there,it was already done. Find bright spots and replicate (from Gladwell’s books). YOU are definitely a bright spot. Bring on the replication!!
