10 Minutes with Marie-Therese Connolly

Marie-Therese Connolly began working on elder justice issues as a lawyer at the Department of Justice (DOJ). Since then, she has directed DOJ’s Elder Justice Initiative, crafted the Elder Justice Act, been a Fellow and Senior Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and worked with NYCEAC’s Risa Breckman and others on the DOJ and Department of Health and Human Services-funded Elder Justice Roadmap Project. NYCEAC's Sarah Dion recently sat down with MT to talk about her career and her vision for the future of the elder justice field.

A child's 1st birthday is a time for doting family members to marvel at and reflect on the child's remarkable growth and development over those formative first 12 months. Oddly, so it is for blogging. Before NYCEAC's staff took the blogging plunge, I would not have understood how many small yet significant achievements could occur during one full year of blogging.
